You take the responsibility of finding the right people (both qualified and the right cultural fit) obsessively seriously. You’re reliable, diligent, and an excellent communicator. You understand the value of “company culture” and you feel confident playing gatekeeper to maintain it. You’re a quick thinker, are able to get a “read” on people, and are exceptionally organized. You take ownership over the hiring process and the team you’re helping to cultivate. You’re comfortable working with an extended remote team and are always looking for ways to streamline the hiring process to find the best possible applicants to move a company’s Vision forward.
  • You and The Work: You’ll work remote / from home full-time during 9-5pm EST business hours. Day to day, you’ll help develop, maintain, and optimize a hiring system where many dozens of applicants per day are coming in. You’ll work within the hiring spreadsheet to make sure all data is coming in smoothly and make informed decisions about what applicants are potentially a good fit. Then, you’ll work with team leaders to get an official decision about moving forward. You won’t just be managing; you’ll help streamline and optimize the hiring process for continuous improvement.
  • Your Experience / Knowledge: Prior experience managing high-performance teams that are scaling (fast) a must. Ideally, you have a background in HR/management.

Requirements

  • Must have a reliable, stable internet connection
  • Prior experience managing high-performance teams
  • Have previously worked with a high-growth company in the process of scaling (fast)
  • Takes the responsibility of finding the right people (both qualified and the right cultural fit) obsessively seriously
  • Able to develop/maintain/optimize a hiring system where many dozens of applicants per day are coming in
  • Ideally has previous management/HR experience
  • Must be comfortable learning and using new software (we use our own simple project management software) and enjoy working within a proven process
  • Must be reliable, diligent and enjoy having a position where staying organized and communicating clearly is key
  • Must be available to work during company business hours i.e. between 9am and 5pm EST (New York Time)

Responsibilities

  • Work within the hiring spreadsheet to make sure all data is coming in smoothly
  • Make educated and informed decisions about applicants who are potentially a good fit; then assigning those to the appropriate team leaders to get an official decision
  • Be the gatekeeper to maintaining our company culture

  • Make managerial decisions about which positions need more applicants and turning on/off the "hiring funnel" based on this position demand
  • OWN the hiring system; not just managing, but thinking strategically to help streamline the process for continuous improvement

  • Identify applicant red flags based on candidates that don't work out
  • Document and calibrate the hiring system
  • Attend occasional team syncups on Zoom
  • Checkin daily at 9am EST, Monday - Friday
