About You

You: You love solving problems and you like communicating regularly with fellow (human) coworkers (who are awesome and hardworking) and/or clients to get things done. Solving tech issues is what you do best, and you like learning new tools as well. Making clients happy, makes YOU happy.

You and the Work: You’ll receive daily tasks assigned by Project Managers. You’ll get a variety of tasks from DNS changes and hosting support, to setting up email automation, configuring form, finding/suggesting/installing plugins, adding tracking codes, fixing broken checkout pages, adjusting designs, writing a little bit of code, and more. You’ll communicate regularly with Project Managers to help keep clients updated on the status of projects. Occasionally, as needed, you’ll also message directly with clients to gain clarity on a task. You should feel comfortable with a variety of tools/apps such as WordPress, Linux, and others.

Your Experience/Knowledge: The ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience as a web/support/WordPress developer, troubleshooting and solving a variety of issues associated with the Work above.

About the Support Developer Position

We are looking to hire 2-3 amazing Support Developers to join us full-time.

The best fit for the position has the following skills, characteristics, and experience:

  • Web developer with a deep knowledge of PHP, and experience working with WordPress, doing WordPress-related site maintenance, and integrating different applications.
  • Experience in GIT, htaccess, file permissions for security purposes, new plugins, and 301 redirects.
  • Preferably with server admin experience and experience with the Codeigniter Framework.
  • This is also for you if you like to learn about new plugins, web apps, and various APIs.
  • Should possess a positive, and solution-oriented attitude. Can help us to regularly update the company's website and implement tweaks on a weekly, ongoing basis.
  • Someone who is focused and stable.
  • Enjoys working within our process while also contributing in a positive way to the larger team.

Requirements

  • Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • Must have a minimum of intermediate-level proficiency in Wordpress, as well as some experience with Linux / server admin (most if not all of your work will be in Wordpress though)
  • Must have expert level proficiency with PHP/MySQL
  • Must be available for team calls via video chat on Zoom
  • Able to contribute with positive, constructive ideas for how to improve your work process
  • Able to follow specific directions every week via our checklists and other instructional media used to operate the business with best practices
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with good organizational skills
  • Must have a customer & solution-oriented mindset
  • Must be diligent and consistent
  • Enjoys following our work process while working constructively with the team to continuously improve it
  • Must be available to work during company business hours 9am and 5pm EST (New York Time)
  • Must complete a skill test and a 2-week training period

  • Clearly and constructively communicate with the Project Manager if you get stuck or need help with something.
  • Learn and be open to learning new web apps, marketing software, and WordPress plugins -- which we use and commonly integrate with customer's websites.
  • Collaborate directly with AutoGrow’s founder to update and drive development on our web applications.
  • Attending daily sync-ups at 10:30 am EST (Mon-Fri)
