Requirements for the Copywriter Position

• Fluent US English speaker / writer (not a requirement to be a native English speaker)
• Must have a reliable, stable internet connection
• Reliable, diligent and self-directed. Must be able to turn around quality (error-free) copy within a consistent timeframe
• Must use AI copywriting tools to maximize efficiency and capacity
• Does not “milk” the word count (i.e. puts the client, quality of the copy, and desire to get results with minimal revisions first)
• Must be comfortable learning and using new software (we use our own web app and live chat) and enjoy working within a proven workflow
• Not a requirement but a PLUS if you have any broader digital marketing knowledge or experience, e.g. knowledge of sales funnels, lead generation, digital marketing, conversion optimization, or AB testing
• Client-focused attitude but also able to follow diligently specific directions each week via checklists, templates, and other instructional media used to operate the business
• Must be reliable, diligent and enjoy having a position where staying organized and communicating clearly is key
• Must be open to feedback from our QA Copy Editing team
• Must be available to work during company business hours i.e. between 9am and 5pm EST
• Must complete a skill test and 2-week training as given by our assistant

Responsibilities

• Read our training program and workflow, collaborate / delegate to other team members, and follow our internal processes
• Write clear and compelling copy for short optin landing pages, lead magnets, long-form landing/sales pages, email sequences, pop-ups, ads, articles, and more
• Edit existing copy, like rewriting headlines or editing copy for a landing page/sales page/home page in Google documents
• Always proofreading your work for errors and work with QA feedback to continuously improve and streamline your copy
• Attend occasional team sync-ups on Zoom
• Check in daily at 9am EST, Monday - Friday
